How does the efficiency of a UV LED power driver affect the overall performance of a UV LED system?The energy efficiency of a UV LED power driver affects its overall performance. Higher efficiency UV Led systems reduces energy usage and cuts costs. EfficientUV Led system drivers also generate less heat, reducing the risk of thermal damage to the LEDs and other components.

What is Power Factor and why is controlling it crucial?
LED UV lights are used more and more for industrial curing applications. In curing applications, a poor Power Factor can have a negative influence causing losses of energy in the power grid.
Power Factor can decrease, especially when the LED’s are dimmed. This can cause more energy losses.
The solution is to include a Power Factor corrector within the system. Nedap’s LED power drivers have Power Factor corrector included inside all of our advanced LED power drivers.
