American Ultraviolet® has selected Nedap’s UVuerte lamp drivers for new UV curing system
American Ultraviolet®, since 1960 the premier manufacturer of UV solutions, and Nedap® are pleased to announce that Nedap’s UVuerte High Frequency Lamp Drivers will be the power source for the redesigned Ultra-Pak, the UPKure™ - UV Curing system from American Ultraviolet’s Aetek® Division.
The new UPKure™, utilizing American Ultraviolet’ s experience with over 50+ years in the UV industry, will be a rugged, reliable workhorse UV curing system with great flexibility in its operational performance range, opening up many market opportunities. By choosing Nedap’s UVuerte™ lamp drivers, American Ultraviolet has ensured “the best of both worlds”; a multi-functional UV curing system with a highly rated, ultra-efficient power supply. Beside the Electronic Power Supply UVuerte™ with high power factor with stepless dimming, the UPKure™ will operate with a host of upgraded features including higher power range with standard 300W/in-500W/in output, standard Thermal Variable Frequency Drive with a redesigned exhaust plenum for high efficiency air cooling, PLC system operation, operator touch screen control, and other features. Being powered by UVuerte™ High Frequency Lamp Drivers will bring their high-efficiency, high power factor, and stepless dimming features into play making the UPKure™ UV Curing system a High Power, low operational cost solution for the market.
Meredith Stines, CEO of American Ultraviolet, says “This is a great combination of two exceptional products. By pairing our Aetek Division’s UPKure™ with Nedap’ s lamp driver, we will ensure maximum UV curing output with one of the industry’s lowest total cost of operation for the end user. The UPKure™ will be great for UV addition to a current press, replacement for an aging or underperforming UV deck, or as an UV curing system for OEM opportunities. It is a phenomenal package”. Tonnie Telgenhof of Nedap adds, “Nedap Light Controls is proud to partner with American Ultraviolet. The UVuerte™ lamp drivers will drive curing performance of multi-lamp systems while needing roughly 50% of the physical space, helping to reduce the overall carbon footprint of larger, multi-lamp systems. Our industry leading UVuerte™ Lamp Driver powering Aetek’ s UPKure™ will be an excellent system”.
The Aetek UPKure™ will be an industry best solution for many markets including flexography, web offset, rotogravure, ink jet, screen printing, laminating, converting, adhesive applications, plastics, and specialty packaging. It is a difficult challenge to increase your power output, lower your energy usage through higher efficiency, lower your carbon footprint and improve performance and lamp life. The Aetek UPKure™ powered by Nedap’s UVuerte™ High Frequency Light Control meets and exceeds that challenge.
